Church is much more
than sermons and Bible studies for the young people at our church (and
the young at heart). Because our teens like the dunes so much, we
decided to build a street legal dune runner, parade partaker, and
general bomb-around towner, which someone decided we should name the
"Holy Roller." It was our "destiny" to find this 1978 Chevy
Suburban 4X4 with only about 90,000 actual miles on it. For a
grand total of $650 the church was now the proud owner. Although
it had not run for months, a little gas in the tank, a little in the
carb, and an almost dead battery resurrected it immediately to life and
we actually drove it home. We immediately began our custom buggy
job!
You will see a quick progression! Within the first day we cut the
entire back end off and even managed to get it buried in the neighbor's
field and had to pull it out. Great fun!!! |
