Notes from Selected Messages

July 24, 2005

Pastor Bennett and his wife Donna graced us with there presence on July 24, 2005.  Pastor Roger Bennett is a powerful man of God and the following is notes from the message he brought us from God.

1. Eccl 11:1 Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.

Give of:

bulletTime
bulletResources
bulletOurselves

Then wait patiently for your reward!

2. Mat 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

It is about the King, not about building our own kingdom.

3. Mar 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Mar 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Loving rather than doing. Love HIM (God) more than anything else.

#1 Priority should be our relationship with God.  If you have slipped away then these 6 steps will get you back in the right direction.

Rev. 2:1-5

1. Set aside time for Him and Him alone.

2. In prayer share your most intimate thoughts with him, etc.

3. Sing songs & hymns that are meaningful, those that are special to you.

4. Express your love in thanksgiving and praise.

5. Saturate your mind & heart with His Word.

6. Learn & receive from Him.

John 6:45

From Pastor Chuck

I had a dream last night (August 11, 2005) that I believe to be significant so I put it here for others to think about.  In the dream it was like I had uncovered a water well for the church.  Now, normally water wells are made of pipe and only about 4 inches in diameter and go down many feet into the ground.  The well I saw was several feet across and maybe ten feet deep.  It looked like more of a cistern or even a pool; it seemed to have cement and stone walls on the sides.  In my spirit I realized I was looking at something that normally was underground and wouldn’t be seen.  Another thing I noticed is that the well was basically em! pty.  Water would come up from basically a single small spot in the bottom and it would be immediately siphoned or pumped off somehow.  My initial thought was a bit of an alarm because I knew that we were getting just enough water for the church to function.  We weren’t running out, and water was there, but there certainly wasn’t an excess.  Another thought I had was that no one in the church had a clue, including myself, how marginal our supply really was, although after I watched it for a while I realized the water that was being pumped or siphoned off was being replaced, gallon for gallon, and it appeared we would not run out.

But as I watched closer and longer, the spot in the bottom that supplied the water seemed to have more.  The church was still using the water but the level stayed up and even increased.  And then more areas in the bottom of the well started getting moist and the water started to seep up from the ground and was starting cover the entire bottom of the well.  I was under the distinct impression that this water was going to break out from underneath and this huge, old well with a little water in the bottom was about to break forth and be filled.

Now, the interpretation of this simple dream seems to be quite simple as well.  If the water represents the Spirit of the Lord, we have been having just enough to get by.  We never really run out, but there doesn’t seem to be an excess or overflow.  I believe this is a prophetic notice that the flow of the Spirit, which is very much unseen, is about to increase.  Not too much longer will we be only getting enough of the Spirit to “get by.”

Soon there will be an abundance of Spirit, enough for great amounts of people.

This was of good encouragement to me, and I hope it is as well for you!

Pastor Chuck
